What to Bring

• Closed-toe walking shoes with good grip

Requirements & Restrictions

• Trails include uneven ground, exposed roots and steps, and require sufficient physical fitness. The refuge does not recommend this activity for visitors with knee problems, reduced mobility, or medical support devices such as splints or casts. Contact Global Tours CR before requesting a booking if you have mobility concerns. The refuge may decline participation where safety is at risk.
• Adults are ages 13 and over; children are ages 6-12. Infants under 6 enter at no charge under the 2027 policy, as accompanying participants in a paid booking.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start or agreed arrival time.
• Stay on authorized trails, keep noise low and follow your guide’s or refuge staff’s instructions. Do not use flash, touch wildlife, or collect plants or animals.
• Pets, weapons, alcohol and food are not allowed. Water is permitted. Do not smoke or enter under the influence of illicit substances.
• A local guide is mandatory at night. Do not enter the trails alone after dark.

Do not assume a date or time is confirmed until you receive that confirmation. For dates outside December 16, 2026-December 15, 2027, contact Global Tours CR for the applicable rates.

Cancellation Policy

• For a 100% refund, Global Tours CR must receive your cancellation request at least 12 hours before the scheduled activity. Contact Global Tours CR directly so there is enough time to coordinate with the supplier.
• Cancellation requests received by Global Tours CR less than 12 hours before the scheduled activity and no-shows are non-refundable.
• A refund applies when weather at the start prevents safe operation, when documented illness or force majeure qualifies under the supplier’s policy, or when a supplier-attributable issue prevents the activity. Light rain or drizzle does not qualify if the supplier considers operation safe. Exceptional conditions may lead the supplier to reschedule.
